Richard Pulleyn the acting YTAA Chairman welcomed all present to the AGM describing the house rules and the organisation of the evening.
Tom Storey, Oliver Shimmin, Steve Foster, Geoff Adams, Rob Bolton (Sen), Jeff Metcalf, Jim Farrington, John Adams, David McNicol Campbell, David Lloyd, Scott Paterson, Phil Harrison, Nick Boyle, Rick Barwick, Tony Rawcliffe, Ian Butcher, Ian Sempers, and Mike Williams.
2. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS AGM (23 February 2015)
The minutes of the previous meeting had been forwarded to all members prior to the meeting. The Chairman allowed a few minutes for final review before accepting and signing off the 2015 AGM minutes as a true record.
3. MATTERS ARISING
There were no matters arising from the minutes of the 2015 AGM.
4. REPORTS BY THE OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE
4.1 Report by the Treasurer
Ian Hardy YTAA Hon. Treasurer gave an overview of the association's financial position highlighting income and expenditure during the 2015 season. The balance sheet was presented to the membership present. With all rents, re-stocking and other expenses covered the balance sheet is in good order with working capital on deposit. The Treasurer described donations made by the association to Yorkshire Cancer Research and anonymous donations received by the association. The Treasurer stated that the association is currently in a position to fund annual mechanical weed clearance at Stearsby and he recommended that this work should go ahead. The key message from the Treasurer's report was that the 2016 subscription should remain at £80.00.
4.2 Report by the Secretary
The Secretary gave a summary report of the association's business throughout the 2015 season most of which had been communicated in the newsletter. The key points being:-
• The working parties and re-stocking
• General report on sport and fly life
• The increasing reports of Signal Crayfish
• The presence of breeding Otters on the Isle Beck system and the Dove
• Repair to the bottom sluice leak at Stearsby
• Stearsby shooting October.. . despite having been communicated to all, a member had still turned up to fish on a shoot day. It is important to observe the temporary closure of the fishery on shoot days both in terms of the safety of YTAA members and fairness to the guns.
• The Secretary reported that the number of catch returns for the Becks was low in 2015 and encouraged all to send them in for 2016.
• The Secretary's report concluded with a presentation of the Stearsby weed cutting work undertaken in February 2016.
4.3 Catch Returns
Peter Conde gave a summary of 2015 season's catch returns;
Becks 62 recorded visits produced 246 Trout, 34 Grayling, 16 Chub, 6 Dace.
Stearsby 354 recorded visits produced 1187 trout, Top lake 712, Bottom Lake 475.

4.4 Report by the Acting Chairman
The Chairman thanked the membership present for their attendance. The two honorary officers and the committee were thanked for their continued hard work for the association. The Chairman recorded thanks to Kelvin Donkin; the association's web-site manager. The Chairman thanked Sam for his excellent fund raising work with the raffle. The Chairman commended Pete Conde for his comprehensive analysis and presentation of the catch returns.
5. THE GARRY TAYLOR BIG FISH AWARDS
Garry Taylor had very generously sponsored the introduction of 4 specimen trout into the top lake at Stearsby. The successful captors were; Wayne Laverack, David Turnbull, Ian Dodd, David Aspinall and Richard Ianson. Garry presented prizes to those present at the meeting. Garry has very kindly offered to sponsor the award for the 2016 season.
6. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Tom Storey Chairman, Ian Hardy Hon. Treasurer, Bob Sawdon Hon. Secretary, Committee; Peter Conde, Alan Bull and Darrell Shimmin was re-elected en-masse by unanimous vote.
7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Chris Wedge asked for clarification on which areas of the Stearsby fishery had been cleared; the Secretary explained the work carried out in both lakes. Wayne Laverack pointed out the fact that the fishing jetties on the top lake are in need of repair. The Secretary responded stating that the committee are aware and that repairs were planned, the Secretary advised that this would not happen before opening day on 1st March and that all should take care. David Turnbull asked about vacancies in the association, the Secretary advised that there are currently no vacancies with 17 on the waiting list. John Adcock advised that although Chas Burns of "Hooks and Tackle" had ceased trading at his Huntington road shop his rod building business is still on-going. Ian Hardy advised that without wishing to influence any members thoughts about 23rd June 2016 European legislation had generally been beneficial to environmental control, fishery management and pollution reduction.
Sam Seago had very kindly once again organised a fund raising raffle. Thanks are recorded to Sam for his on-going support and generosity to the club. The committee and members had donated many prizes; Sam's raffle raised £143.00 for the club's coffers. There being no further business the Chairman closed the 2016 AGM at 21:00hrs.

Post meeting note; Kelvin Donkin briefed the committee on work carried out behind the scenes with the web-site. The site is being refreshed and re-modelled such that it is fully compatible with mobile platforms. This will enable the web-site to appear the same and offer the same functionality on smart phones, tablets etc. This will be helpful to rods wishing to access rules/maps/info while out fishing.
